Mario is a plumber who came to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. Mario has been a plumber, doctor, sports player, and even done demolition. Mario has become the idol of video games, due to the success of Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Recently, fans are now trying out Super Mario Maker, which you can create your own Mario levels.
Mario uses the same moves in the Super Smash Bros. series. In All-Star Battlemania 2, his gameplay is even closer to Smash Bros.
Neutral Special: Fireball
Mario throws out a fireball as it bounces on the ground.
Side Special: Cape
Mario will swing his cape, but only smaller projectiles can be reflect, but a magnetized way.
Up Special: Super Jump Punch
Mario will jump in the air with his fist, similar to Ryu's Shoryuken.
Down Special: Mario Tornado
Mario will spin in a circle while he moves towards the direction he faces.
Finalmania: Mario Finale
Mario will prepare himself, while in a few seconds, he will shoot spinning flames, as they become bigger.
- In All-Star Battlemania, Mario uses voice clips from Brawl, but in All-Star Battlemania 2, he mostly uses voice clips from Melee.
- Mario Tornado in All-Star Battlemania 2, now drags opponents like in the Super Smash Bros. games.
- Mario is rated at A- tier on the unofficial tier list due to his slow and weak projectile with large starting lag, a reflector that deals no hitstun at all and normals with relatively short range. However, he has a cheap and powerful chain combo with his up-special. Since his down-special has a small vacuum effect, the combo is easy to initiate.
